Compare and Contrasting
I am a 17-year-old high school student, and I have lived in a very democratic city on the West Coast all of my life. I have lived in a very liberal household, and my education has long held a liberal bias. Because of this, I now consider myself as someone who is very left-leaning on most issues, but I personally feel as though I would be considered as an Opportunity Democrat, as on major issues I agree with solid liberals, but I am very moderate when it comes to economic policies. This comes from a survey I recently took from the Pew Research Center. According to it, my opinions heavily favor the left, but in some instances are quite moderate. One controversial issue ever since the founding of the United States has been whether or not the US should be involved in foreign affairs.
